BRITINA design group partnered with the City and community of Arvada to rehabilitate Memorial Park, a large public open space and playground area located close to the historic Olde Town core and City of Arvada municipal complex.
Addressing the need to preserve several large, historic trees at the site, Britina developed a creative playground restoration that took advantage of both the challenging grades and limited area for playground equipment. The final 'treehouse' playground provides a compelling play experience in a small footprint, utilizing a series of ramps and retaining walls that creatively and seamlessly integrate grade changes into the final design.
