olde wadsworth streetscape
BRITINA design group lead a multi-disciplinary team to redesign Olde Wadsworth Boulevard, the main shopping street in the heart of historic Olde Town Arvada. A concept plan was developed through a series of community workshops and input from public agencies. Britina went on to produce construction documents, which included the realignment of Olde Wadsworth and the introduction of parallel parking, wider sidewalks, specialty paving, crosswalks, lighting, gateway signage and site furnishings. Britina also acted as the construction administrators for the Arvada Urban Renewal Authority.
The streetscape design for the improvement of Olde Wadsworth Boulevard received the 2006 Design Excellence Honor Award from Jefferson County.
